Calvert Trust Kielder

The Calvert Trust Kielder is a registered charity providing people of all ages and all kinds of disability with the opportunity to participate in outdoor activities including sailing, swimming, climbing, zip wire canoeing and much more. "It's not what you can't do; it’s what you can that counts."

Guests pay to visit the centre which covers some of the day to day running costs.  To ensure the fees are affordable, each bed night is subsidies and in addition bursaries are made available for guests who cannot afford even these reduced fees.  In order to cover the rest of the £1.3 million annual expenditure we rely heavily on voluntary support.
